Trevor's day in the sun

This weekend was about Trevor! We finally blessed Trevor at church on Sunday and enjoyed having my parents, Drew's parents and Aunt Shannon here to enjoy it all with us! And our dear friends, Jeff and Terri, even made the long drive from Fresno to be with us.

Trevor is so incredibly adorable! He is a good eater, as is made obvious by his double chin and sweet fat rolls around his ankles and wrists. He can go from being very serious and thoughtful to instant smiles and laughs if someone will just look at him. And he is a super easy baby, which I need and deserve with all I have to deal with in handling Charlotte. Yes, she is cute, but we are averaging 2.5 severe tantrums a day with that child. So thank you, Trevor, for sleeping, eating, smiling and just being cute! Mommy needs that...

Name that tune!

Funny how when when the Evers family used to get together before the grandkids came along, we would stay up late every night playing Settlers of Catan or Phase 10. No longer... Things have changed! One night last month when we actually did manage to get a came of Catan going, I asked Jeff if Elle liked to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Without hesitating, he and Kelly busted out in singing the show theme song, and of course I was able to join in as well. After singing a few other favorite shows, Cindy thought we were insane. But just you wait, Cindy... 2 more years and you will know every word. So here is a fun little game that I know you TV-watching moms will enjoy. Finish these lines:

"We're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship..."

"There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation and school comes along just to end it..."

"Hooray it’s a honey-ful day, so let’s laugh and let’s play here together..."

"Deep inside the jungle where nature is running wild; Coming to the rescue is a very special child..."

"Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog..."

Embarrasing...

2 posts in almost 2 months? Seriously? I am so behind... And poor Trevor, the 3rd child, will have no pictures or stories of his first 4 months because I can't seem to get my act together!

Here is my excuse for June: We had the whole Evers clan out here for all of June and part of July. It was a blast, but obviously between feeding, changing diapers and acting as referee between 6 grandkids, there wasn't much time for blogging. Some of the highlights include playing princess, doing makeup, going to Chuck E. Cheese, a trip to the beach, swimming at the Bearry's pool (or "Mr. Bearry's" if you're Charlotte), and lots of eating! Here are some photos from all our fun:
