With the 10 Syphi siblings, just about every month there seems to be a big event: weddings, graduations, new babies, baptisms... This year we are heavy on graduations: Ted (PhD, CalTech), Matthew (BS, BYU), Shannon (MBA, U of Phoenix), and Taylor (MBA, BYU). It isn't that we love Ted, Matthew or Shannon any less, but we decided to load the family into the Pilot and head out to Utah to celebrate Taylor's big accomplishment.
We picked up Charlotte from preschool on Thursday and drove the rest of the day until we arrived at Gary and Emily's late that night. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS for DVD players in the car. Seriously, how did parents travel with small children and stay sane? Friday morning we just hung out with Emily while Scott and cousin Josh had a fabulous time inventing fun games involving throwing plastic Easter eggs and painting the fence yellow. That afternoon we headed down to Provo for the graduation and family party. We had a wonderful time seeing 7 of the 10 Syphi kids, as well as Drew's dad. And as a side bonus, we got to see the Biggs family, too! We just happen to be at the same park on Saturday night as the Biggs clan was all there to celebrate Amy's graduation. Small world, huh? Well, in Provo, it's really not that small.
We stayed with Taylor and Sarah Friday and Saturday and Scott once again loved playing with his cousins Ethan, Christian and Michael. He announced to us that he didn't want to leave on Sunday, but wanted to stay for 4 more days. 5 would be too many. Thanks, Sarah and Taylor for letting us crash at your place!
So to all of our non-Syphi friends in Utah, we are really sorry we weren't able to stop an make any visits along our way! We decided sometime we just need to take a week and visit all our cool friends that live 2 states away...

Uncle Taylor looks an awful lot like Charlotte on her first day of preschool. Really. They look alike! I guess this means good things for her educational future.
10 siblings! All I can say is WOW. I'm glad you were able to come to Utah and that you recognized that you need to come again and visit all your cool friends!
How are we NOT family? We look forward to another Utah visit from you one day. Miss you!
It was totally awesome seeing you guys at that park. Especially since I've never met your little Trevor yet-he is darling. It sure is fun living in such a small world!
We are so glad you all came, even though it was anything but easy! It was fun to get a chance to hang out and visit a little. Feel free to come anytime. Hopefully we'll get to you soon. Michael keeps asking about Charlotte, it's so cute.
How fun to see the Syphus family in great form!!! From a long tine family friend, Sherry Ellsworth Moody. Love you all! (Hope you don't mind that I found you :) )
